E-RETROFIT-KIT

The scope of the proposed action is to use the Passive House principles for super-energy efficient retrofitting of apartments of social housing companies (SHC). It is the goal to develop the E-RETROFIT-KIT comprising: 1) General guidelines based on best practice 2)Examples of innovative super-low energy solutions for whole buildings, developed as regional case studies 3)Catalogue of specific building components low energy retrofitting solutions, based on the newest ideas from the building industry 4)Methodology for developing your own super-low energy retrofitting solutions based on Passive House principles. The E-RETROFIT-KIT will be efficiently disseminated to interested SHC in >15 EU countries and the goal is: 1)Initial guidance through mail/phone to minimum 60 SHC2)More throughout guidance to minimum 30 SHC with instructions on specific retrofit solutions based on drawings etc. 3)Sketch proposals for retrofit of dwellings for minimum 6 SHC based on principles of PHP.

The E-RETROFIT-KIT will comprise innovative solutions for improving the economy of super-low energy retrofit solutions through 1) Increasing the housing area of the existing buildings 2)Improving the value and comfort of the existing housing area through insulation of gables and facades, better windows and indoor climate. back to projects page
