Overall objective is to promote energy efficient and sustainable retrofitting of social houses in the Province of Styria. The market for advanced energy-efficient retrofitting solutions shall be expanded as well as comfort levels and the quality of life for tenants shall be increased.

The project aims mainly at influencing the decision making process for retrofitting of social houses in order to a) have better and more energy efficient retrofitting solutions in renovation projects and b) to stimulate the market to increase the amount of social houses being retrofitted.
Therefore the project has a focus on the housing associations and local authorities providing social housing as well as on the tenants who must be in favour of sustainable retrofitting solutions. Further relevant actors are the authorities (subsidy schemes), ESCOs and planners. The project has an action oriented, practical approach.
