SHARE

SHARE is a partnership of 8 European areas representing a wide range of types of social housing in new and old member states, rural and urban, north and south. SHARE aims to raise the level of sustainable energy retrofitting in social housing in the participating areas, through establishing local /regional multi-sectoral social housing energy forums, which will steer a programme of training, awareness and advice and investigate new finance options. A proactive dissemination programme will spread the word further by promoting case studies, providing online awareness programme plans and materials, international seminars and a range of activities specifically targeting social housing networks and stakeholders. SHARE forums will consist of energy experts, social housing managers and owners, residents, technicians, fuel suppliers, installers and other key actors. SHARE supports EU and national environmental and social policy agendas as well as climate change and security of supply, reducing carbon emissions, health and socio-economic inequalities and social exclusion.
